Work on basics like Data Structures and Algorithms, along with that work on basics of DBMS and Operating Systems. I believe one programming language should be very strong be it C, C++ or JAVA. For freshers its difficult get referral in most of the companies. I suggest you to appear for elitmus test and then you can apply for desired profile. 7.97 CGPA is decent enough and it shouldn't be hard if you get your basics right. All the best..

Thanks Amandeep for an early feeder.

Hi Parul,
Amandeep's response is short and to the point. You must start working on your data structures and algo skills. It is absolutely must both for DEV profiles and QA.

We would first like to have a more closer look before suggesting. And yes, getting referrals is very unlikely for freshers. A better option would be walk-ins. We would see what best can be done.
