Job Description

Job Description UMI function is involved in designing product installation and upgrade/migration strategy in standalone and high availability setups. This function also involves automating the installation/upgrade procedures, documentation and testing of the UMI procedures.

• Must be strong Hands On knowledge in Linux/Solaris system administration aspects
• Proficient in atleast one of the Scripting languages preferably Shell, Python, Perl
• Database administration skills, esp. in one of the following – Oracle RDBMS, Times Ten database, Cassandra, PostGres
• Experience of working with High Availability solutions such as VCS, Xen, and Storage systems such as EMC Storage Admin (EMC Clariion AX series, CX series, VNX series)
• Knowledge of Virtualization concepts and working knowledge with ESxi

Optional skills:

• Basic knowledge of Core Java, would be preferred
• Knowledge of Application Servers e.g. JBOSS, Tomcat
• Version control and GIT/Gerrit knowledge is added advantage.
