Solaris 11 Administrator required into Niit Technologies
Should have around 6+ year of UNIX experience with 5+ years of demonstrated experience and proficiency in managing and maintaining Sun Solaris environment Hands on with Solaris Virtualization administration like Zones, Ldoms, Domains, and filesystems e.g. Veritas, ZFS, UFS Configuring and administering Solaris Zones and Containers on Sun Solaris 11 operating system Installation and configuration of HA environment using Sun or Veritas Cluster. Configuration and administration of Sun and Veritas logical volume manager Installing and Maintaining Solaris Jumpstart environment Patch and Package administration -Printer Administration Writing shell scripts to accomplish day to day system administration task Configuring and supporting domain on Sun Fire Servers Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue Capacity planning and fine tune system for optimal performance Understanding of SAN and NAS storage Installation, configuration and Administration of NetBackup 6.0 or higher version Strong understanding of Oracle Databases and Implementing backup and recovery strategies using Hot/Cold backup, RMAN, Logical (Import/Export Administration of NIS or LDAP environment Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning Certification in Redhat Linux and/or Solaris, VMware and SAN/NAS storage Knowledge is a plus A common sense approach with the capacity to use initiative within guidelines Should be able to work in 24x7 environment Ability to quickly assimilate technical and non-technical information Good communication skills both written and verbal Should be open for Greater Noida location
