Change job profile
Hi, I am currently working as a telecommunication engineer and have a total work experience of almost 17 months. However, I have an interest in semi-conductor/electronic design/ASIC design profile. I want to switch to a profile of a digital design/electronic engineer. Is it possible? And how/which companies should I approach? I am almost a fresher and I am not looking for a great package since I just want a profile of my interest.

Hey Hi,
Reply 1You have almost 1.5 years of experience so you can change...that will not be an issue ...as a thumb rule if u stick to some profile for about 3 years then it becomes your area of expertise but there has been exceptions. Only thing is while making your resume show them what you can bring to the table..like a fresh perspective and stuff....
Reg ASIC, we have lately been blessed with presence of such companies like freescale, samsung, wipro vlsi and many more...
