Engineering Manager - .Net +Angular
Summary of the role
You will guide and support a team developing scalable, reliable web?based applications using the Microsoft ecosystem, including .NET and Angular. You’ll collaborate across groups to ensure effective engineering practices for software that supports global travel technology.
Common accountabilities

• Oversee a team and support performance discussions, goal?setting, development, and equitable decision?making.
• Define and communicate a clear team vision aligned with department objectives, translating it into actionable plans.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource across multiple technical areas and support solutions to multi?layered challenges.
• Improve efficiency through understanding of policies, procedures, and operational needs.
• Work independently while engaging with your senior manager when needed.

Specific accountabilities
Accountability / Business understanding

• Define and share the team’s functional and technical roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
• Provide regular updates on team progress and activities.
• Take responsibility for team performance and outcomes within your scope.
• Develop plans and priorities that address resource and operational needs.
• Identify opportunities to refine processes, workflows, and operational approaches while considering budget guidelines.

Technical excellence

• Coordinate timely investigation and resolution of production support topics and customer inquiries.
• Work closely with engineering, architecture, solutions, and quality assurance teams to ensure software built for reliability, testability, scalability, and performance.
• Share relevant organizational updates and maintain clear communication across the team.

Technical skills

• Hands?on experience with .NET technologies and Angular for delivering scalable web applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or other cloud providers), including cloud migration and optimization.
• Understanding of distributed systems, decoupled architectures, resiliency techniques, caching, queuing, serialization, and distributed databases.
• Experience with deployment, monitoring, and logging tools such as Splunk, Kibana, SWB, Jenkins, and Airflow.
• Background in SOLID design principles, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and services like Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).

Additional skills

• At least 13+ years of overall experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Excellent people?management skills and experience mentoring team members.
• Experience with API development (REST, OpenAPI), security considerations, throttling, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools and workflows.
• Understanding of non?functional requirements (NFRs) and their impact on technical solutions.
