Summer Research Internship at IISc (May-July 2026)

I'm offering a limited number of funded summer research positions at QUEST Lab, IISc. Interns will work on advancing Deep Neural Models for multi-modal applications with me and my graduate students.

What We Offer: Financial support covering living and travel expenses. Last year's interns contributed to publications accepted at top-tier venues like ICLR 2026. Other previous year interns are pursuing PhD at highly competitive top research schools.

Eligibility: Pre-final year students (3rd year in 4-year programs, 4th year in 5-year programs, 1st year in 2-year programs), final year students, and recent graduates.

Requirements: 60 full days of in-person work at IISc Bangalore during May-July 2026.

Selection Process: No resume required. Instead, describe up to three technically challenging things you have accomplished. If you haven't tackled something difficult yet, you have until early April to build something worthwhile using Deep Neural Models and demonstrate your capability.

UPDATE AS ON 12 Feb 2026:
The previous application form had 402 applicants. All had to be rejected as not a single person responded to the questionnaire honestly. So we are doing a different format now. All the people who applied previously can also prepare and apply again.


Timeline
From 12 Feb to 25 March: Improve yourself, and truly prepare by doing difficult things, or revising the difficult things that you did and then articulate that by yourself, using AI only for grammar edits. Give your interest in the form attached.
